This is an introduction to Chadian Arabic—a way to learn to speak a dialect of Arabic spoken in the country of Chad. There are many varieties of Chadian Arabic. One is a market language that is easy to learn. Another is one spoken as a mother tongue by over three million people. This book will teach you both varieties by a series of lively dialogs and pertinent substitution exercises. Included is an answer key as well as a short Arabic-English and English-Arabic dictionary.The illustrations were taken from my books Rain School and Mango Rain.

Vous avez devant vous une introduction à la langue arabe parlée au Tchad. Il y a plusieurs variétés de l’arabe tchadien. L’une est une langue du marché qui est facile à apprendre. L’autre est la langue maternelle de plus de trois millions de personnes. Ce livre vous apprendra ces deux variétés à travers une série de dialogues animés et d’exercices pertinents de substitution. À la fin du livre se trouvent une clé de correction et deux lexiques: arabe-français et français-arabe. Les illustrations ont été tirées de mes deux livres Rain School et Mango Rain.
